Ravin R470 XERO XK7
Every serious hunter has stood at full draw wondering about the distance. The R470 XERO XK7 is Ravin’s answer to that moment: a 470 feet per second crossbow paired with the Garmin Xero X1i, a rangefinding scope built directly into the shooting system, so the guesswork happens before the animal arrives rather than during the shot.
The Xero X1i is customized exclusively for Ravin crossbows, and the setup shows it. Mount the scope, select the R470 as your model in the menu, sight in at 20 yards, and the scope generates precise digital aim points at your actual distance, computed from its internal rangefinder. There is no separate rangefinder to fumble for, no hold-over chart to memorize, no extra gear swinging from your neck. For a category that has spent two decades borrowing aiming solutions from archery and riflery, this is the first arrangement that feels native.
The bow underneath deserves equal attention. The HexCoil cam system drives a 400-grain arrow to 470 feet per second with 196 foot-pounds of kinetic energy, all inside a package measuring 26.75 inches long and weighing 8.4 pounds. Compact, fast and balanced, in other words, not just powerful. The VersaDrive cocking system handles the 17-pound draw with the same internal clutch as the rest of the premium range, allowing the cocking cycle to stop and resume at any point without over-cocking and without noise.
The package arrives complete: the R470 crossbow, the Garmin Xero X1i integrated rangefinding scope, three Ravin .001 arrows with field tips, the removable draw handle, and a quiver with mounting bracket. Quad-limb composite limbs and a CNC-machined aluminum riser underneath, polymer stock, SKU R065.
this is the most expensive configuration in the Ravin catalog, and the Garmin glass is most of the difference. For hunters who want the distance question answered before the trigger breaks, it is also the only bow in the range that does it all in one unit.
