Not every hunter wants a tube of glass between their eye and the animal. Ravin’s reflex sight line exists for exactly that shooter, and for a second audience that is growing every year: hunters in jurisdictions where magnified optics are restricted by regulation. Both sights in the catalog, the Single Dot and the 3 Dot, put a bright aiming point in a compact window with no magnification, no parallax and nothing to do but put the dot on the deer.
The Single Dot Reflex Sight, at $149.99, is the purest expression of the idea. One red dot, instant target acquisition, unrestricted eye position, which in practice means you can shoot with your head anywhere near the stock and still find the dot. For ground blinks, running shots and the last grey minutes of legal light, the speed of a single dot is hard to beat. It is also the sight at the center of the R29X XK7 RDS package, where Ravin pairs it with the Jack Plate adjustable elevation mount and a calibrated sight tape matched to 450 fps, turning the simple dot into a dial-to-distance system.
The 3 Dot Reflex Sight, at $199.99, trades a little simplicity for reach. Three red aiming points, typically zeroed to cover a spread of distances, give the shooter a built-in answer for the 20, 30 and 40 yard shots without dialing anything. It is the sight that ships with the vertical-limb R18, and it suits that bow’s close-quarters personality well.
Neither sight offers magnification, which is either the limitation or the entire point depending on your hunting style. For thick timber, saddle setups and restricted-opportunity shots, reflex speed wins. For open-country distance work, the illuminated scope lines cover that instead.
Both sights carry the standard Ravin mounting approach, so they ride the same rail as the rest of the catalog’s optics, and the official store lists current pricing and availability for each.
